Harry

Harry

Domestic Short Hair - male

Update-Harry has been such a brave little man during treatment to assist in repairing his deformed hind leg.
Once X-rays were completed it was realised it was nothing to do with the bones, just ligaments, tendons and muscles.
Harry's leg was placed in the correct position with strapping and stayed that way for a few days. Once the strapping was removed the leg was now facing the correct way, was very swallow and the toes were curled under cutting his pads on the paws.
With some physio a few times a day the toes returned to a relatively normal position.
Harry can now sit nearly normally, walk slowly on the toes/foot and scratch his head with the leg.
Harry may never use his leg completely normally, however is improving out of site each. At times when he is playing you wouldn't even know he has a deformed leg.
Harry is looking forward to finding his special family that would be happy to continue some form of physio with him.
Harry would like to say a very big thank you to the staff at sash for assisting in correcting the position of him leg, his amazing physio Bec who did some sessions with him and gave his foster carer session lessons to do at home.
Harry has a huge personality and loves to talk!!! He is very playful, loves a cuddle (especially getting underneath the bed covers) and isn't scared of pretty much anything. He is food crazy and will let you know with his vocals until it is right in front of him. Or just climb up your leg to get to the bench and food bowl.
Harry is excited to meet his forever family.

Harry has come into DCH foster care after being surrendered by his previous owner.

Harry has a deformed or twisted leg which needs correction. Its been this way since birth.

DCH is having Harry treated at the Sydney Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) to try and improve his quality of life.

Harry will have significant medical bills and if you can assist by sponsoring some of his vet fees please contact us on dchanimaladoptions@iprimus.com.au or on the below details.

Harry will also need a home in due course and if you can offer him a home that can help take care of his special needs then please contact us.

Harry was adopted on 07 March 2016 after 8 months in foster care

Bobby

Bobby

Bengal - female

*Foster Carer Required - Bobby needs a new carer or permanent home asap as she isn't getting along with the other foster cat at her carers place. She would ideally go to a home without other cats. If you can assist please contact us: dchanimaladoptions@iprimus.com.au*

Bobby is a young 4 year old desexed Bengal Female who has come into care with DCH. Her fur is softer than the average cat and glistens in the sun. Her eyes are a brilliant emerald green when you see her.

She loves human company, is very vocal and interactive and very friendly. She prefers to be with you as much as possible. She's very intelligent and sensitive. She needs a little extra attention at the moment as she is missing her previous owner.

She needs to have a couple of choices of litter boxes and likes them to be kept fairly clean.

She is an indoor cat at the moment. However, she does enjoy being outside under human supervision as she has no road sense. She is currently learning to walk on a leash.

She needs to go to a home of someone who has some experience with that breed or someone who is willing to spend some time doing a little research about her breed. She also needs to be re homed with someone who is willing to spend time with her/playing with her.

Kenya

Kenya

DSH - male

My name is Kenya, however I prefer 'Kenny' or 'Ken'.

I don't have a sad story behind why I am a shy and timid man. That's just my personality, it takes me time to like and trust you.

I was born in care to a lovely mamma cat (my mum Calli who now lives in a forever home) and have resided with two very lovely cat foster carers from DCH. I came to my current foster care at 2 weeks of age with my mum Calli and sister Kokoda, they have both had forever homes for ages now.

I live with a heap of other cats my foster mum is a crazy foster cat lady. I can't keep up sometimes, but I'm always friendly once I know all the other fur fosters. I've even help foster mum out with the tiny orphan by bathing them and role modeling appropriate big cat behaviour.

I still enjoy playing with toys especially if you play with me. I like to cuddle on the lounge with my foster mum and don't mind being picked up, although, I am quite heavy. My foster mum says I could do losing a kilo or two. I LOVE food, human food included.

I don't mind small humans as long as they have a toy and play with me, but I won’t go out of my way to hang out with them. I have never been outside, foster mum would prefer you keep me safe indoors but that is completely up to you once we get to know each other better.

I feel it's has to be my time to meet my loving forever home and humans. When you come to meet me I won't come up and give you a cuddle or pay any attention to you, I will hide. That doesn't mean I don't want to be a part of your family, I'm just being cautious.

Foster mum says cause I'm a scaredy cat I can come for a trial at your house (crossing my paws it's my forever home), and introducing me to one room at a time will help me settle in quickly. Like I said before, I LOVE food so if you give me some treats, we will become friends in no time.

I have seen so many foster siblings come and go and never had anyone show any interest in me, all I want is a family to love me forever. I’m really looking forward to my transition to a forever home. You will not be disappointed once you know me!!!

Kenya was adopted on 20 February 2016 after 3 years in foster care
