Inky

Inky

Domestic Short Hair - male

Ash, Midnight and Inky found themselves handed into a vet clinic around the 13th of April with the mother as lost around the 13th of April. Unfortunately, an owner could not be found and they have been cared for by a Kennel Hand since the 17th of April.

The kittens have been given an opportunity to grow and be nurtured with their mother in a family home. The kittens have grown really fast and it’s time that they find their own homes so have been surrendered into DCH care to find them a new forever home.

They are not used to many visitors or strangers so they take a little bit of time to warm up to new people. They initially come across as a little timid however once they know you they will form a bond with you.

Inky is very playful and enjoys playing with your feet he’s excited and enjoys being tickled. He can be silly and goofy and loves to roll and tumble

The kittens have received 2 vaccinations and will be covered until August 2023. They have been wormed and flea treated and are microchipped and are being desexed 18th August.

Bear

Bear

Domestic Short Hair - female

Bear is a sweet and gentle soul, with an adorable black spot on her chin, and long white whiskers. She is happy being handled, and enjoys the company of cats and humans. Rolling on her back and having her tummy rubbed is particularly fun!

Bear was born in care with her siblings Neo, Arrow and Trinity. She was born to Mia who was an amazing mum who nursed her until 10 weeks. She recently had a setback with a tummy bug, but she is now desexed, on the mend, and is ready for a furever home. She is a very loving, intelligent and robust kitty.

Bear is fully litter trained and is an indoor only cat.

Bear's adoption fee includes desexing, microchipping, worming, and vaccinations.

Bear is now ready for meet and greets and can be visited at the PETstock Macquarie Centre (North Ryde) adoption enclosure during store hours.
If you are interested in adopting Bear after a meet and greet the staff can assist you with completing an expression of interest form. Bear will be available to adopt from PETstock from the 13th of August.

Holly

Holly

DSH - female

She may look a little grumpy but don't let that fool you. Holly is a nice natured, friendly, mature girl who enjoys a cuddle and is very affectionate.

Holly spent some time at the pound before being rescued and suffered a very bad bout of cat flu. Thankfully she now seems to have fully recovered and is ready for her forever home to come along.

If you're looking for a settled, adult cat who has outgrown the crazy zoomy stage then she might be the one for you! She isn't phased by much but we're not sure yet what she's like with other cats or dogs.

More info to come as we get to know her better, but enquiries welcome now as the sooner she gets settled into a permanent home the better.

Holly was adopted on 17 August 2022 after 1 month in foster care

Kamila

Kamila

Domestic Short Hair - female

I found myself at a Council Animal Shelter facility with my mum at around 2-3 weeks of age. A foster carer with DCH Animal Adoptions has taken our family into their home and has cared for us and nurtured us into very loving and friendly kittens.

I am one of 7 kittens in the litter. We are very playful and are typical kittens. We enjoy a good game of chase and will play with any toys available I am available on my own or I can be adopted with one of my siblings.

We are growing up as indoors-only kittens so we are looking for a forever home where we can continue to live 100% indoors and be kept safe.

I will have been microchipped, 1st F3 vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and desexed. The new owner will need to complete 2 more vaccinations which are not included in the adoption fee.

We love our Royal Canin Kitten Instinctive with Gravy and our Royal Canin Kitten dry food along with water and sometimes still get a treat of Whiskas kitten milk.

I am currently located in the PETstock Rouse Hill adoption enclosure and I can be visited during store hours for an initial meet and greet. The staff at PETstock and take your details via an expression of interest form and will let us know about your visit but if your interested in adoption please contact us directly via this page as well.

Alistair

Alistair

DSH - male

**Alistair will be available to meet at PetStock Marsden Park store from Saturday 30 July 2022 **

Alistair came into care with his siblings Sebastian, Mila and Penelope when they were about 3 weeks old as strays, and although small they would not be contained and demanded to be released to play with the big cats.

Alistair is a mischievous little boy who seeks the company of humans, and will cuddle up to watch TV or keep you company while you are working from home. Although some days he can be more of a distraction than company.

Alistairs engine purrs load lay at night when curled up in bed with his foster mum, during the day he enjoys a wrestling match with his siblings and other resident foster kittens. Alistair he has been raised with other foster kittens, as well as the resident cats, dogs and bunny and he happily co-habits with them all, in fact when he is feeling particularly cheeky he will try to wrestle the resident dog.

While Alistair has access outside via a cat run in his foster home, he is looking for forever family that can offer him the protection of growing up inside (or safety outside access).

Alistair is ready to be adopted now and is available to meet, he has been desexed, has had his first kitten vaccination and is litter trained and will be up to date with his parasite protection.

As we receive a lot of enquiries for our kittens, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18 yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Alistair was adopted on 13 August 2022 after 3 months in foster care

Joey

Joey

DSH - male

Joey has been adopted! 😻

Joey and his 3 x siblings, came into DCH care on 21st October 2021, after being handed in to Campbelltown Pound as orphans when they were about 3 days old. Joey is the sole survivor of his litter, with all kittens having some form of physical deformity - most likely as their mum was sick when pregnant.

Joey was bottle-fed and has been handled and around people since he was born, so he does love people... once he is comfortable with you.

Joey is a lot like a cat-dog who follows you around, sits with you, headbutts for attention and sniffs everything (really loudly!). Joey has been vet checked and cleared of any major issue (FIP, FIV, FeLV) but his body does look a little different as he has a congenital defect, and is missing muscle/tendon behind his shoulder blades. This condition does not require any treatment or medication.

Although he is definitely not a graceful mover, and can be clumsy when jumping or getting down from heights, nothing seems to slow him down. He does get a little jealous of his foster siblings but has also tried to make friends with our 2 x older resident cats. Recently, Joey has also decided he likes cat-friendly dogs, too!

If you are interested, please come and meet Joey. He is initially a little shy but he will absolutely thrive with individual attention. Joey will be a perfect companion for someone out there.

Joey is litter-trained and is currently being socialised in my home. He is a little bit of a scaredy-cat! Joey is currently eating Royal Canin Kitten Dry & Advance Kitten Wet food, with lots of clean water always available.

The $225 adoption fee includes:

  • Microchipping,
  • Worming/flea-treatment,
  • Vaccination,
  • Desexing
  • So he lives his best and longest life, Joey must also be an INDOOR ONLY cat.

Please use the "Send enquiry email" link below, if you have any questions or if you are interested in adopting Joey. PLEASE INCLUDE INFORMATION such as whether you own other pets, if you have a quieter or more chaotic household and any other relevant details.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18 years old to adopt an animal, and, for a kitten, also be prepared to look after it for up to 20years! 😻

Joey was adopted on 12 August 2022 after 9 months in foster care
