I am small but mighty. I am cute but super cool too. I am brave and fearless.
I AM THE MUNCHKIN!
OK, seriously, I may be the smallest of the bunch but I can do anything they can do and more. I even eat from a bowl and the rest of them don't. I have a dark grey/black tabby coat and huge beautiful blue eyes. I love to play chasings, hide and seek, ball, stalking that funny blue furry 'snake', climbing, pouncing, running, wrestling with my siblings, except Sprocket, he's a scaredy cat! Ha ha!
After a big play I love to curl up with my sibling's but Foster Mummy's lap is even better and then I purr and purr and purr and purr. I'm living in with my brother and sisters but I'm looking for a furever home with a fun-loving family who are home lots to play and wrestle and cuddle with me. I think a home with other cats would be cool and maybe even a dog..... cos I'm not scared of anything..... I think! But, I am definitely an indoor only boy.
Munchkin has been microchipped and vaccinated. Desexing is included in the adoption fee.
If you are interested in learning more about this little boy, or wish to visit him at his foster home in Winmalee, please email his foster carer.

Ushi is a lovely little girl who came into care with her 3 siblings. She was the shy one of the litter but within a few days she turned out to be one of the sookiest. She can run around like a mad thing playing but then she will seek you out to just be with you when it's sleep time. Not the sort to purr all the time it's all the more special when she does start to purr during cuddles. And watch out if you rub noses with her, she can then spend the next 10 minutes intently (gently) pushing into your face - which her foster carers children think is hilarious.
She is easy to handle, good with kids and other cats and should fit easily into most households.
enquiries welcome now.

Marilyn Monroe is a beautiful, smoochy female that came into the pound with 6 healthy babies.
She has hauntingly pretty face with beautiful eyes and unusual tortoisehell face plus tabby striped body.
She was a little underweight when she came into care so she we supplemented her feeds while she fed her babies. She is now a normal weight.
She has a quiet meow and greets you when you come into her room.
She is litter trained, and an indoor cat now who, to her credit already taught her babies how to use the litter pan by 4 weeks of age.
She gets along with other pet but she also would be happy to be the only cat in her family. She keeps every one in order by smacking them if they get in her space however, strangely enough; she doesn't use her nails (I know from being accidentally in the way). She also has been around a small terrier type dog.

Update: 26 April: The ginger-nut gang has come a long way in the last few weeks; since the floods in March their foster mum has been working from home full time and this daily forced interaction has resulted in huge improvements in the kittens interactions and level of comfort with humans. Remi has come the furthest and is fast to greet his foster mum with a purr and request for a chin scratch and he cuddles up a close a possible to her when it is bed time. Remi is even coping with being picked up for short periods without too much complaint.
Remi is going to be a big boy when he is full grown, if paw size it any guide in kittens, and he often keeps his foster mum company at the computer while she is working.
Remi his brothers, Rusti and Rudi and sister Roxi, are Christmas Eve babies, who came into DCH care at 8 weeks old, and while they had interacted with humans their socialisation was limited and they very scared and hissy their first week in care. After their first week, the boys have really come out of their shells and will seek human attention especially for pats and food, and before you even pat them their little engines are revving and their purrs get quite loud. The ginger-nut boys are very active kittens, and their morning and evening zoomies can get quite energetic.
While the ginger-nut boys have come along way with their socialisation, they are looking for a new family that will understand they may hide the first few days and will need time to settle at their own pace into their new homes and families. Being lovers of food they are very food motivated which goes a long way to gaining their trust. As the boys have not been raised with children, families with children will need to take into consideration that this home environment may take the boys a little longer to become at ease and comfortable.
Since coming into care Remi has been raised with other kittens, cats, dogs and bunnies and while he was nervous around the dogs the first couple of weeks, he is a lot more comfortable now and will do the ninja jump at them if they enter a room and he is in a playful mood.
Remi is ready for his forever home now and he has been desexed, microchipped and he has had 2 of his 3 kitten vaccinations and parasite protection.
As we currently receive a lot of enquiries for our kittens, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered.
If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.
You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.
