DMH - male
When Avachat first came into care he didn't stop talking for the first 2 weeks, if he was awake he was voicing his opinion even if that changed minute to minute, and he didn't know what he was complaining about. After those 2 weeks, and his belly was finally full, Avachat was less vocal but still liked to voice his opinion.
Avachat is a character, as soon as his foster mums feet hit the floor of a morning he is running ahead of her to the kitchen for breakfast, if she is slower than he would like he back tracks to make sure she is following him.
Avachat's little purr motor is pretty much always on, if you talk to him, look at him, pick him up ort pat him he will be purring. As Avachat enjoys human company his foster mum has set up a little bed beside her computer so he can keep her company while she works from home.
While Avachat is a very confident kitten, he can still become shy when meeting new people but this shouldn't last long.
Since being in care from about 4-5 weeks of age, Avachat has been raised with other kittens, cats, dogs and bunnies and he is happy to bounce along with them all.
Avachat is litter trained and is now ready for his new home, he has been desexed, had 2 of his 3 kitten vaccinations and is up to date with his parasite treatment.
As we currently receive a number of enquiries for our kittens, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered.

Elvis and his sister, Echo, came into DCH foster care at about 8 weeks old after they were found living under a house in Macquarie Fields.
Elvis is a very playful and curious young man who is beginning to realise that people aren’t so bad (and they have treats!)
This beautiful Tabby boy with the chiselled chin, usually does do a runner when he knows you want to pick him up, making little purrs and trills as he goes, like it's a game to him! However once you have him in your arms, he doesn't fight at all to get away and succumbs to all the love and cuddles!
Elvis will usually fall asleep right next to me or behind my shoulder, on the lounge. Elvis has progressed really well with his social skills but he will really benefit from a quieter home with only 1-2 people to focus on and trust. Elvis gets on well with other cats and kittens, as well as cat-friendly dogs.
Elvis had a rough start to life but he absolutely deserves a loving Forever Family to call his own.
The $225 adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. Elvis is also litter-trained and socialised with other foster kittens and must be kept as an INSIDE ONLY cat.
Please use the "Send enquiry email" link below, if you have any questions or if you are interested in adopting.
Elvis is desexed and is ready to go to his new home now.
If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.
You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt this kitten.

Lani was brought into care with her 3 brothers (Don, Toby and Joe) from a private surrender after his mother abandoned him, where he was bottle fed and nurtured for a few weeks.
Lani is a playful kitten who enjoys a good pat and purrs for more, she enjoys a good game of chasing the string and jumping on your feet when you walk past. As she can get under your feet, our recommendation would be to a younger family home as she can be a bit of a trip hazard.
Looking for an indoors only home.
Desexed, 1st and 2nd F3 vaccinated, wormed, flea treated.
Located in Acacia Gardens, NSW
Lani was adopted on 01 May 2021 after 1 month in foster care
Manx - male
*Update April 2021: Unfortunately he's been in our cattery facility for 3 months now after his foster carer moved interstate. He's coped surprisingly well but he's really overdue to go to a proper home getting the ongoing affectionate and play time that he deserves. *
Bobby likes to walk around the house as though he is boss, he is not shy at all and will make himself at home anywhere. Bobby is fine with large dogs. He hasn't been with another cat but I think he'd be fine with another calm feline friend.
A fairly quiet boy, he is really a delight to have around, he loves a cuddle, loves smooching and when he's not sitting at the window watching the world go by he does enjoy playing. His previous foster carers found he enjoyed jumping out in front of them and running off - only to then come and grab your ankles for a quick nibble (very cheeky). But he's yet to do any ankle nibbling in the 4 months he's been in our cattery.
Bobby loves to wander around the back yard, which we supervise, and is easy to pick up to return him indoors. Ideally he'd like a home with some space to run around, with a safe garden or yard where he can play and explore both inside and out.
Bobby is probably best placed into a home with no very young children as he is quite a large and strong cat, and can play a bit rough for littlies. However he's very easy for older children to handle and is quite smoochy and cuddly with them.
Information about the Manx cat breed and their personalities can be found here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manx_cat
If you'd like to learn more about this almost dog-like cat, or visit him in his temporary home in Riverstone, please contact his carer.
Bobby was adopted on 30 April 2021 after 2.5 years in foster care

Leo ..... please do not over look this divine little man he truly is just that DIVINE.
Leo has been a delight to have in care , he loves his people and loves nothing better after a rough play session to snuggle and watch TV with you.
Leo has been in care with 3 adult dogs , he gets on with them all but at times he can annoy them with his full on play , he is also very respectful of the resident cats.
Leo does not seem to mind being on his own so if you are a full time worker I don't think this would be a problem for him.
He loves his food and is litter trained.
Leo has had his first vaccination and has been micro chipped. He is also flea and worm treated. His adoption fee will cover his desexing at one of DCH's approved vets when he is old enough.
He is in care in the Granville area.
Leo was adopted on 26 April 2021 after 2 weeks in foster care

Rusti and his brothers, Remi and Rudi, are Christmas Eve babies, who came into DCH care at 8 weeks old, and while they had interacted with humans their socialisation was limited and they very scared and hissy their first week in care. After their first week, the boys have really come out of their shells and will seek human attention especially for pats and food, and before you even pat them their little engines are revving and their purrs get quite loud. The ginger-nut boys are very active kittens, and their morning and evening zoomies can get quite energetic.
While the ginger-nut boys have come along way with their socialisation, they are looking for a new family that will understand they may hide the first few days and will need time to settle at their own pace into their new homes and families. Being lovers of food they are very food motivated which goes a long way to gaining their trust. As the boys have not been raised with children, families with children will need to take into consideration that this home environment may take the boys a little longer to become at ease and comfortable.
Rusti is a handsome little ginger and is the vocal kitten of the group often demanding attention, and while Rusti doesn’t like being picked up and cuddled, he is very affectionate and sleeps on his foster carers bed of an evening.
Since coming into care Rusti has been raised with other kittens, cats, dogs and bunnies and while he was nervous around the dogs the first couple of weeks, he is a lot more comfortable now and will do the ninja jump at them if they enter a room and he is in a playful mood.
Rusti is ready for his forever home now and he has been desexed, microchipped and he is up to date with his vaccinations and parasite protection.
As we currently receive a lot of enquiries for our kittens, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered.

My name is Tasha, I came from a group of 4 and did not know people until I came to live with my foster mum. Apparently, I was really hissy and spitty to begin with, but now I accept pats and relax with a purr. Although I have come a long way I still get a bit scared at times so please be gentle when handling me. I'm doing my very best to become more social and have progressed to being comfortable around everyone in the household. My favourite social time is string toy playtime and food time, definitely food time.
During my time in foster I have learned to be more trustful, for instance I now sleep out in the open and am happy to be picked up for a quick cuddle when I am feeling secure and relaxed. I even join my mum on her bed for night sleeps.
I have been around the household doggy and even shared his bed for naps.
I play with the other kitty cats, and like my siblings, I also love cat grass.........that stuff really is awesome. My favourite treat is the dine creamy treats. My mum says I have very good manners when it comes to food.
I am looking for a forever home willing to be patient and allow me to develop trust and flourish over time. So if you would like some company and would love to see me grow into a lovely young fur lady, then feel free to make contact. We would love to here from you.
I am vet checked, microchipped, desexed, flea/worm treated, and my vaccinations are up to date.

Archie is a very sweet, affectionate cat, loves to be by your side and or on you always. He will wait for bed time and cuddle close to you.
Loves getting cuddles and pats, he will stay in your arms and just allow you to cuddle him.
Archie is a very handsome little kitty.
Archie is okay with our rabbit and our dog, however initially he wasn't and took a couple of weeks to get used to them, he would hiss a lot , now he is playful with them and doesn't mind them at all, when we bring in another cat or dog , he doesn't like it and needs time to adjust but eventually warms up to them.
Indoor cat only please.
Feel free to drop by and meet Archie.
