Zak

Zak

Maltese x poodle - male

Zack is a 2 year old Maltese x poodle. He has come into foster care because his owners have moved house and aren't allowed dogs in their new rental. They were very upset to see him go, and it is clear that he has been a well looked after, and greatly loved family pet.

He is a quiet boy, but boy does he love his walks! For such a small fellow, he's got plenty of energy and so would suit an active couple or family. He grew up with kids, and so should be fine joining a family with little ones. When not out on his walks, he likes to play fetch

with the ball, or curl up on your lap for a snuggle.

When we meet other dogs on our walks, he generally just ignores them. If bigger dogs come over to say hi, he politely lets them sniff him and then goes on his way. He's more keen to say hi back to dogs that are his own size, but mostly he wants to keep on walking!

All in all, he's a little charmer! He's had a great start to life, and with a new, loving home he'll continue to be a happy little chap.

He has been clipped back so will needs a little jacket for the winter until his curly coat grows back.

Tommy

Tommy

DSH - male

Little Tommy is a beautiful little man who loves company. There is nothing he likes better than to curl up on your lap after a hard days play and he has recently discovered the joys of a soft bed with his human foster mum. Tommy is still quite small but is putting on weight daily. He is litter trained and very sweet. Tommy would need someone who has plenty of time to give him because he is still trying to suckle adult cats so he is missing his mum. He is not keen on being alone so if you have another non-aggressive cat it could be a match made in heaven. Tommy would need to be an indoor cat and is guaranteed to repay you for your love for years to come.

Tommy was adopted on 14 May 2013 after 4 weeks in foster care

Coops

Coops

Collie Rough - male

Coops is still very much a pup at heart who loves to play and he runs in circles if you stop while he thinks a game should still be in action.

He was so very thin (almost skeletal) when he came from the pound but has gained some 6 kilos! He still needs 2 meals a day to keep the weight on him as he runs like the wind and always has his nose stuck into everything that is going on. He needs to go to a home with another active dog otherwise he will become miserable and lonely very quickly.

Coops is super friendly, loves people (especially children) and is great with other dogs. Apparently he is no good with chickens which is why he was surrendered to the pound. I can believe that because he is always on the move and probably would chase them. He may not be good around cats for the same reason.

He is a nice natured playful little man who just loves hugs and a nice soft bed in your room where he feels safe and secure... he doesn't move all night. He is houstrained, walks well on a lead and is just a very happy boy who would love to be with a family with some active kids to play ball with him and take him on long walks.

Coops is not available for interstate adoption and a property inspection is required before the adoption process is completed.

Boo

Boo

Terrier Cross - male

Meet Boo who is just adorable. This little fella is around 9 months old, 4.6kgs and 22cm in height and very, very cute, a little anxious and nervous but once you win him over with some gentle caring persuasion you'll have a pal for life that won't want you out of his sight, literally.

Unfortunately Boo was abandoned by his owner, so naturally he will have some trust and separation issues. Not overly social with strangers, but seems fine with the other dogs.

He walks and eats well. Loves leash free runs and stays pretty close by, comes easily when called. Enjoys a play, soft toys and little cuddles, however spooks easily. Good little watchdog, does sometimes attention bark. Rides ok harnessed in the car but can be wilful, needs basic training, house/obedience, which we have started together and he is doing very well.

The more I get to know Boo, I can honestly say he is a very loving, sweet, loyal, cheeky, playful, funny pup, who needs a person/family who are prepared to put in the time it takes to create a great ever lasting frienDSHip to enable Boo to build up his confidence. He needs to feel loved, safe and secure so he can shine. Boo would be best suited to a family with older children (10 years up) or an individual who may work from home. Also Boo could easily be paired up with a submissive small female dog as he and my girl of 3 years get on like a house on fire. Boo deserves to be happy, just like we all do.

Kingama

Kingama

DSH - male

Kingama came into care with ringworm and cat flu but has now totally recovered from both. He is a happy and healthy little kitten who is ready for the next challenge to find his forever home. He is a very playful, curious and fun loving little boy who makes me laugh a lot, gives me lots of cuddles and likes being picked up for kisses and cuddles. He is always purring and just is a beautiful easy to be with kitten. Kingama is fully litter trained, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, eats dry and wet kitten food and is just a delightful kitten to be around.

These kittens are located at Banksia, NSW.

Kingama was adopted on 14 May 2013 after 5 months in foster care

Pippin

Pippin

Maltese x Westie - male

Pippin came from the pound absolutely terrified, and they were not even able to get a muzzle on him to microchip him. His coat was very matted and he developed Kennel Cough within 24 hours of leaving which required antibiotics and cough medicine. To enable him to be clipped and microchipped he needed two doses of sedation and muzzling. Since then he developed a stomach problem, thought to be gastritis which required multiple courses of antibiotics and antacids plus a special diet. He later developed a painful hot spot which required more antibiotics and treatment. Poor Pippin has come a long way since leaving the pound and he is now able to eat normally. We are hoping the worst is over for Pippin and the future will look bright and healthy for him.

Pippin's additional vet costs have so far come to $550. Thanks to Vanessa, Linda, Barbara, Kim, Walid, Muditha, Julie and Dietmar for sponsoring Pippin. His vet fees have now been fully covered

Pippin was adopted on 08 May 2013 after 7 months in foster care

Bella is the smallest of the litter and just wants to be with people. If you're looking for a lap cat Bella fits the bill.

She enjoys nothing more than snuggling up with someone and will sleep on your lap contentedly for hours.

Although quiet she is definitely not timid, Bella still has a cheeky side and loves exploring and playing.

Rusty

Rusty

small Cross Breed - female

My name is and I am a very gentle and sweet little cross breed. I can be a bit shy when I first meet people but I am coming out of my shell as I am feeling secure with my carer and her family. Sometimes I can seem to be aloof but its only because I am being cautious but once I know you, I will ask if I can climb into on your lap for a cuddle and a nap.

I enjoy playing with the ball in the yard and having a chat to my carers cats too, only one of them doesn't like me but I am still friendly to her. I am not really much of a barker however if the cats don't want to play I will give a little bark to say 'please go on just a little play' but then I stop once I know they don't want to.

I am not really active like other puppies, I prefer being on the lounge with the kids. My carer has 3 kids from baby to primary age and I love them all. I will have a sleep next to them then get carried around by the 2 year old and play dress ups with the 4 year old. I look after them and they look after me.

I stay really close to my foster family as I don't want to run away, get lost again and end up in the pound.. ever! When the family go out I will just look at them like can I come too....please! Although I don't really like walking on the lead my carer has been helping me get used to the harness and I am slowly starting to be OK on it now.

I like to sleep in my bed at night and don't get up to mischief when everyone's asleep. When my carer goes out I stay in the laundry which I don't have a problem with as long as I have some toys and a comfy bed.

If you would like to meet me. I sure would love a forever home with a gentle and loving family who will keep me safe and look after me for the rest of my days.

Angel is just that, a beautiful little boy who can't wait to be adopted and have a home of his very own. Angel eats well, just mention the word dinner and he comes running! Angel is litter trained and loves to play. He is a very smoochy boy who loves to lie on your lap for a cuddle and a scratch. He is an extremely affectionate kitten and would need somebody who has time to give him the affection he needs. Angel would need to be an indoor cat and would quickly adapt to a new home. If you want a little loyal friend who asks for nothing but your love and care, Angel is just what you are looking for.
