Monkey

Monkey

DSH - female

This is little Monkey, so called because she likes to hang upside down. She has the most beautiful soft personality and adores people

she even gets excited when you stop to talk to her. Monkey was abandoned with her 2 brothers by her mother when they were only 10 days old. I have bottle raised them since then. Monkey has a gorgeous personality, gets along with all cats and kittens, as loves our large dog to bits, running through her legs and playing with her furry feet. Monkey would fit into any family and keep you laughing at her antics.

Charlie

Charlie

Border Collie x - male

Charlie is a very gentle 4 year old Border Collie with a 10% unknown cross. He lived with a family on a rural property where he loved the life there. The family moved to the city and while Charlie has adapted well he would love to find a new home, hopefully somewhere where he can run around freely as Border Collies love to do. He loves to chase rabbits and lizards and is constantly looking for something new to do. He is well trained and if someone wants to put in the time, he could benefit from more training as he is a dog who would like a job to do whether it be working or playing. He loves children and has never shown anything other than kindness to everyone, he seems to love people more than dogs as when he is taken to the dog park, he wants to get up close to the dog owners to receive their pats and cuddles.

Charlie would be best suited to someone who is home most of the day as this is what he has become used to and he gets great re-assurance from knowing someone who loves him is nearby. He is very lovable and patient with children. He loves to be inside the house but will wait patiently at the door to be invited in. He is very sociable and gets on well with other dogs and has mixed and played well with other dogs in the house with the foster carer.

Charlie is being cared for in the Hornsby area.

Bonny

Bonny

Medium x Breed - female

Bonny has now been found and

Bonny has a very gentle and sweet nature and loves the company of people. She is, however, a nervous dog and needs a confident owner who will imbue her with confidence and won't nurture her nervousness by patting her every time she shows she is nervous. Despite being nervous she is good with strangers and with other dogs. She is not suitable for a family with young children because their energy and unpredictability is likely to make her even more nervous. The foster carer is a dog trainer and can give you tips on how to handle Bonny's nervous.

Bonny is located at North Straithfield

Bonny was adopted on 14 September 2012 after 1 month in foster care

Slipper

Slipper

DSH - female

Hi, My name is Slipper, and I am so adorable you must pick me. I am a really laid back cat, and am happy to let you know that my foster sister, Suicre has become a better kitty since meeting with me. I love sleeping and being cuddled on the lounge, and happy for you to come to bed with me. My personality is laid back, but I am only 2 and still love to play. I sit on the verandah every day in the sun, and cuddle with my foster mum. When my foster mum brought home a new rescue cat, I decided I would make her feel at home. She was very scared. So I played with her, and now every day we play gentle chasing, and now sleep in the same bed! I like going outside and playing with leaves and grasses, and talking to the birdies. But about an hour outside, and then I am ready for a nap, on the couch, or on a warm veranday (or on foster mums lap). From my window at night, I watch possums! I am a really good girl, and jump on foster mummy's lap whenever I can. But, I am ok with a few hours to myself, but love your company and chats. I love the tv too! I like nice men too. I was adopted out by DCH and my dad for life had to leave for a job, but I really like company every day too. (oh, and did I mention I am smart, and do like other cats for company?)

Henry

Henry

Small x Breed - male

Henry is absolutely gorgeous. He's about 6 months old, so is at that perfect age where he is still puppy-cuteness, but has learned his independence. When he first came to us, he was lacking a bit of confidence and was on his best behaviour. He is very, very good at sitting, and will sit politely waiting for instructions, or if he feels that he needs to please you. Now he's settled in a bit more, we're starting to see more of his puppy personality, and he is so much fun when he lets his natural enthusiasm show through. He walks perfectly on the lead and has started going to the dog park, where's he shown that he isn't dog aggressive at all. He loves to play and run around with the other dogs, but will come straight back when called. He doesn't live with children, but has met some on our walks and playdates, and shows every sign of being amazing with kids. He's just a little guy, so he doesn't intimidate anyone! He's been left on his own during the day a few times, and hasn't shown any signs of separation anxiety. He's also fully toilet trained. So he ticks all the boxes really! The best thing about Henry, though, is his smoochie loving ways. He is perfect for a cuddle on your lap, and gives lots of kisses and ear nuzzles. He is pretty perfect, and will suit any family or lifestyle.

Henry is located at Watsons Bay

Henry was adopted on 02 September 2012 after 4 weeks in foster care

Bessie

Bessie

DSH - female

Bessie was sitting in a crate at the local pound waiting to be euthanasied at the tender age of 6 weeks. Her DCH carer decided then and there she was coming home with her. Right from the start Bessie had a loving and affectionette personality that came through. She loves to spend time with people and loves pats, cuddles and to curl up in a warm lap. Bessie is great with other animals, she is currently living with 2 other cats and a staffy to whom she has taken a great shine! Bessieis a very confident girl and is very easy going so would suit most households. Bessie is currently an indoor cat with supervised outdoor time.

Germaine

Germaine

DSH - female

Germaine is a gentle girl with a curious personality. She is a pretty girl who loves her food and her scratching post. Germaine is very friendly and enjoys playing with her foster sister Pricillia. She loves giving kisses and snuggles but can also be independant. Germaine would love a home with another cat to keep her company, or a new owner who likes to play. She may be a little shy at first, but the person who adopts her will be rewarded with a loyal and affectionate friend. Germaine is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed and ready for her new home now.
