Leo

Leo

Terrier x

If I were asked to describe Leo in one word it would be gentleman. Leo is loving, well mannered, gentle, loyal, people/dog/cat friendly and, sadly, deaf. But that doesn't stop him from doing a single thing. He runs with the other dogs I have here, jumps into my lap when I gesture him to and knows what's required of him from simple hand signals and facial expressions. Leo loves going for strolls and is good on the leash. He never bothers with other dogs and is quite happy to just walk alongside you. He's a good eater and is house trained. I believe that Leo would be the perfect companion for an older person, or couple, looking for a quiet and gentle dog to share their lives with.

Kenzie

Kenzie

Tri Coloured Collie Rough - female

Collie Roughs Kenzie and Lannee where dropped off to their new family and 1.5 days later we got a call to say that Kenzie had been rushed to the vets as she was completely paralysed. First thoughts were spinal damage so x-rays were done, nothing. Next step was to shave her off and see if they had missed a tick, again nothing but they gave her tick serum anyway just in case. She was put on a drip as she could not lift her head to drink and they thought that if there were some toxins in her system it would help to flush them out, bloods were done and other than a temperature... still nothing. After 7 days at the vets, the best she could do was keep her head up if you propped her up. She was not getting any better at all and there was talk that she may not be able to walk again or even pull through so her carer asked if she could pick her up and rehabilitate her, better than laying in a cage at a vet clinic all day and at night on her own.

She was picked up from the vet on day 7. Slowly she had shown small signs of improving but nothing much at day until 15, when she was finally able to support her own weight on her legs and since then everyday has been a day of her recovery. She will go back to her new home with Lannee when she has fully recovered as the girls are missing each other so much. The cause of her illness has not been established, it's a mystery.

Kenzies vet costs have come to $905. Thanks to Luca, Kylie, Adam, Celia, Serena, Julie, Lesley, Jo, Kerstin, John and Nicole for their donations towards Kenzie's vet treatments

Lannee

Lannee

Sable Collie Rough - female

Lannee is the sweetest little girl who was rescued from a country pound. She came into season in care and has now been desexed but because of this she has lost her coat which will grow back now all beautiful and healthy. She has had several litters in her short life, all by caesarean so the desexing was not an easy thing for her but she is recovering very well. She is great with other dogs, kids and people, her little bum spends a lot of time wagging. She travels well in the car, is great on lead and is just a really nice sweet little girl who needs to sleep inside with her family, have a lounge to share with you and just be looked after and loved and she will reward you with so much love in return.

Lannee is located at Rydal near Lithgow and a property inspection will be required to be completed prior to her being rehomed.

Kenzie

Kenzie

Tri Coloured Collie Rough - female

Kenzie is a beautiful little girl who travels well in the car and is good on a lead. Kenzie is quite an active girl and needs to go to a home with another active dog to play with otherwise she will get lonely and bored. She is housetrained and also requires a home where she is allowed inside of a night and she so needs to be very much a part of the family and be involved in everything that goes on as she is such a sticky beak. She is a bit independent, not one that needs to sook up to you as she is fairly affectionate although she would rather to playing than hugging. She is great with other dogs although she runs alongside them when playing, barking at them just like a 'nagging wife'.

Kenzie is located at Rydal near Lithgow and a property inspection will be required to be completed prior to her being rehomed.

Bella

Bella

Shepherd x - female

Bella is a lovely young lady who was abandoned at the pound with a litter of 9 x 1 day old pups. Now that her puppies are ready for rehoming, Bella is ready to find a home of her own with another dog for company as she so loves to play. Bella weighs in at less than 25kgs, so she is only a little girl who behaves very much like the German Shepherd in her, she has good manners, knows all of the basic commands and sits quietly taking treats from your hand ever so gently. Bella is house trained and is used to being outside during the day and coming inside and sleeping with her family at night. She needs a secure yard as she so loves to be in the midst of everything that sounds like fun that if she hears kids and other dogs walking past she wants to play with them as she just loves everyone. Bella is such a gentle soul, very sweet natured girl who really loves belly rubs.

Bella is in foster care at Glenwood. A property inspection is required before rehoming.

Frankie

Frankie

DSH - female

Frankie has been rescued from the street when only a little kitten where she was suffering from the flu. She's spent the last month being nursed back to health by a caring vet who took pity on her and now she's all safe and in good health with a DCH carer. Her markings resemble a cheetah kitten, regular black hatching over grey and tan undercoat, she's a very pretty girl with intelligent eyes. She is very sweet natured and is coming out of her shell rapidly. Her purr is unmistakeable, she sounds like a miniature engine on overload and loves being stroked and patted sitting on your lap. She also has a habit of hiding her head in the crook of your arm. A joy to have around.

Gallipoli

Gallipoli

DSH - male

Gallipoli is an extremely affectionate and friendly kitten who would let you cuddle and pat him all day if he had his way. He's not at all backward when he wants you to cuddle or pat him and will come and nudge your hand with his head, purring loudly. Gallipoli is also fond of curling up with you in bed and once he's asleep, won't move again until you do. J Gallipoli gets on extremely well with his siblings as well as the other cats I have here. He has no fear or interest in either of my dogs. Gallipoli is a good eater and is litter trained. I believe Gallipoli would make a wonderful addition to any home that's looking for a loving, smoochy and friendly feline.
