Tayla

Tayla

Shepherd x Collie - female

Tayla is a most gentle 7 year old German Shepherd/Collie cross. She is no trouble to have around the house, all she asks for is good food to eat, a nice cosy place to lie down and a comfortable bed to doze on throughout the day. She loves going for a walk and having her belly rubbed. She walks very well on the lead and if taken to a leash free area will go ahead with constant looks behind her to make sure she can always see you. She has been well trained and will come when called and knows how to obey most commands. Her previous family left her at the Wyong pound with a note saying simply that she was no longer wanted. When she came into care her coat was so matted and required cutting down the back legs but after a bath and some good food, she is now the most beautiful girl. Tayla would be best suited to someone who is home most of the day as she gets great re-assurance from knowing someone who loves her is nearby. She gets along well with Charlie, our 2 year old border collie who shows her new things to do and places to go everyday. As Tayla loves following Charlie everywhere, having another dog as a companion would be a very good thing for Tayla. She only barks when a bark is needed. Once she settles in with her new family, they will be rewarded with her ongoing love and devotion. Tayla is being cared for on the Central Coast.

What a cool dude Johnny is! A happy, energetic little man who has a helicopter tail that is constantly showing his affection, Johnny is proving to be a very clever boy who has learnt SIT, STAY, HEEL and has RECALL when out enjoying his daily romps at the dog park. Dog friendly with other dogs, Johnny is a well mannered boy who although can be excitable, knows how to behave around humans of all sizes, and is at the perfect age to bond with a family. Would suit a family with another dog for company, or one that can guarantee regular involvement with his 2legged family.

Barnaby

Barnaby

DSH - male

Barnaby is one of the most placid, content and affectionate kittens I have ever had the pleasure to foster. As soon as he sees you coming, Barnaby starts his purring engine which only gets louder once you pick him up or start giving him a scratch. Even when you're walking past him, you can put your head near his and he'll gently headbutt you as a sign of affection. Barnaby is quite happy being on his own as long as he has somewhere comfortable to snuggle up and snooze the day away. Barnaby is a small eater and is litter trained. He gets along with the other cats and kittens I have here although doesn't go out of his way to play or socialise with them. Barnaby is a gorgeous cat who likes the quiet life so I would recommend a home where there are no young children or loud, boisterous dogs

Charlie is a fun and loving little guy, he has shown that he is ok with kids other dogs and has met cats while here aswell. Charlie walks well on a lead and is great to have around. He currently weighs in at 8.4kg and would be best suited to a home with children 8 years and over.

Angel

Angel

Chinchilla - female

Angel came into care as her owner is too ill to care for her. It is easy to see that she has been a much loved and well cared for cat as she is very loving, responsive to talk and easy to groom and handle. She has settled in here very quickly and isn't bothered by dogs. She is also used to other cats. Angel is being cared for in the Shellharbour area.

Twin

Twin

DMH - female

Twin is a very loving and friendly kitten. She craves attention and can play for hours or snuggle for hours she doesnt mind at all. She doesn't seem to be getting over being the last of the litter and is very lonely by herself. I think she needs a home with other friendly animals or, alternatively, someone that has a lot of time for her. Twin can be very shy around a lot of people but once she gets to know you she will have no problems at all. She's litter trained and seems ok using the scratching post. She'll make a great companion for someone with a lot of love and attention to give her. she'll thrive in that kind of environment.

Maggie

Maggie

Golden Retriever - female

Maggie is a wonderful, active, happy puppy. She is in need of her forever home now. Born with a detached retina, she has always been blind in her left eye. Last month out of necessity the vet removed the eye and stitched up her eyelid on that side. As she was born without sight on that side she has always adapted to life without it. She occasionally bumps into things but mostly (as she has no peripheral vision) it's because you've moved onto her blind side, rather than her just barging into things in error. She is fully recovered from the op and there is no further treatment needed since getting the all clear from the vets. She needs ongoing training, but can sit very nicely for dinner, when asked etc She is exuberant on lead as you'd expect from a large breed puppy but with the correct handling she is manageable and will grow into a much loved adorable relaxed walker. Her coat is almost white (except after having fun in the dirt with my other fosters) and so far I haven't heard her bark much. She is very relaxed and happy around other dogs of all sizes and also around children ( I have 3 between 9-16). I would recommend, due to her vision issue, that she be rehomed to a family with older children as she may accidently knock littlies over unintentionally. So if you feel you can offer her a happy, loving environment please give us a call to arrange to meet her. You'll fall in love with this goofy bundle of white fluff when you see her.
