Tom

Tom

Cattle Dog x - male

Tom, or Tommo as he is affectionately known is a fun dog - happy, healthy, and loves people. He is well mannered and attended puppy and obedience school before coming to us. Tommo is a medium size dog that we think has reached his true size, he is a little taller and slimmer than the average cattle dog with a lovely smile and hairy looking coat. Tommo is enthusiastic and can't wait to see you when you come home, loves pats and hugs, and is happy to peacefully sleep the evening away in his dog bed while you go about your tasks. Tom is socialized and enjoys playing fetch with his ball at the leash free park, or chasing and wrestling with the other foster dogs and pups he now lives with. As he is adaptable, Tommo would suit both an only dog situation where he would have lots of love and attention, or as a companion to other pets. Initially a much loved pet, Tommo was sadly surrendered by his first family who were too busy to care for him long-term, and wanted to give him a better a life. His foster home is only the second home he has ever had, and we have all of Tommo's vet paperwork from 9 weeks old. His carers would like him to find a stable forever home where he can truly belong, and be loved for the wonderful dog that he is.

Maddie

Maddie

Shih Tzu - female

Maddie is a typical happy-go-lucky Shih Tzu puppy. She is very good to groom and bath. She loves to be with people and would suit a home where someone is home most of the time. She is also good with cats and is quickly learning to walk well on a lead. She also travels well in the car.

Sissy

Sissy

DSH - female

Sissy is a gentle, sweetheart who loves to be cuddled and stroked. She is easy-going and occasionally doesn't get along with some cats - but appears not to be frightened of dogs or children. She is house-trained and doesn't seem to want to venture outside away from her human family but prefers to find a cozy spot inside to sleep the day away. She would be suitable in any family and is very carefree and would make a loyal companion.

Sissy was adopted on 09 October 2006 after 1 month in foster care

Salem

Salem

DMH - male

is a pretty easy going sort of guy and is no trouble at all. He's quite friendly with everyone right away. When he meets you he will rub himself against you and give a little meow to say hello. He really loves to be patted and gently scratched behind his ears, on his cheeks and under his chin. When you stop he will politely ask you to give him more pats by meowing and stretching out his neck for more. He loves his food and will tell you when it's time for dinner. His meowing is not incessant though he only quietly meows when he's trying to tell you something which is funny like he thinks he can talk. It can be fun trying to figure out what each meow means. He's interested in what's going on around him and will sometimes follow you from room to room. When he's got a nice full belly and it's time for a nap he's either on a chair next to you, laying stretched out across the floor or he may decide your lap looks just right and settles to sleep on you. Salem is pretty wary of dogs and doesn't really like them at present but he is becoming more curious about them since none of the dogs he currently lives with are a danger to him. He enjoys catching flying insects and sunning himself near a window. Overall Salem is a pretty even tempered cat, relaxed and easy to handle. He is litter trained.

Salem was adopted on 08 October 2006 after 2 weeks in foster care

Bandit

Bandit

DSH - male

Bandit is a friendly and sweet boy that is used to children and dogs. As he was victimised by the resident cat and dog in his previous home he needs a quieter home where any resident cats and/or dogs would accept him readily. He would also love a home where he was the only pet.

Bandit was adopted on 08 October 2006 after 1 month in foster care

Chess

Chess

DSH - female

If you want a cat that's excited to see you when you get home, Chess is the cat for you! She is a lovely natured girl who came into care when her owner no longer wanted her once she was out of the cute kitten stage. Chess is toilet trained and very well behaved in an appartment environment. She really loves meeting new people and often completes 'figure eights' around visitors ankles. Chess is also great with other cats. Chess is a beautiful girl inside and out and would make a great edition to any family.

Chess was adopted on 08 October 2006 after 1 month in foster care

James

James

Great Dane x Labrador - male

James is a lovely young boy- still a playful puppy who loves his toys and his runs, he is showing that he has a beautifully affectionate and placid nature. He is very friendly with all people he meets, but he does give a good warning bark when strangers arrive. James is toilet trained, and loves being inside with his humans- he enjoys stretching out by your feet for a doze or just following you around everywhere (and bringing you tennis balls to throw...). James is excellent with children, and doesn't jump up. He gets very excited and pulls a bit when walking on his lead, but that's slowly improving. James sits on command and travels well in the car. He will probably be (medium to) large size when he's fully grown. He would be great as either an only dog (with lots of human attention!) or with a pooch companion as he is excellent with other dogs. He is currently living with a female labrador and they get along wonderfully.

James was adopted on 08 October 2006 after 2 months in foster care
