Domestic Long Hair - female
I am not sure why I landed in rescue, as I am already desexed, have perfect litter box skills, am affectionate and well behaved. And now I am also vaccinated and have had a preventative flea/worm treatment.
I have a friendly yet quiet personality. I love being patted and held and often stare intensely at humans, in the hope that they will submit. When you call me, I am very responsive because I know that means I could get pats. I love humans and think another cat/pet could be ok, in order to break the boredom in-between sleeping, pats, eating and play.
I am extremely patient. I will not wake you up, nor will I pester you for food, even if I am peckish. I know there is always unlimited dry food available to me. I may make the odd half hearted meow but I am certainly not a stalker.
I really enjoy having vertical space and love jumping and climbing. As well, I enjoy hunting games where I can hit and pounce/bite on toys/strings.
I love Whiskas dry food. I also enjoy wet cat food and boiled chicken. Occasionally, I may request a few frozen peas from your plate.
I would suit apartment living or a house. As I get overwhelmed by too many other pets, I would prefer to be solo or have one gentle yet playful friend.
I would prefer a small family of up to 3 people.
I come with a vaccination certificate, a letter from the vet certifying that I am desexed, 1 month's supply of flea/worm treatment and a large bag of donated dry cat food.
While I have medium to long hair, I self manage the grooming.
Finally, I enjoy car travel!

Shadow was originally found as a stray by a good Samaritan and was surrendered into DCH care for rehoming about 2 weeks later. Shadow has been in our care since then and we don’t know anything about her past.
She is a little shy to begin with however once she knows you, she loves pats and will flop down on her side of pats. She does not like tummy rubs as yet.
She has beautiful long hair and will require regular brushing. She does not know her name as such so she can be renamed once adopted if needed.
She has not been exposed to dogs but has had interaction with other cats in foster care.
She has been used to the following:
Royal Canin Kitten Dry food (always available)
Royal Canin Kitten instinctive wet food in gravy (once daily)
Breeders Choice paper litter in an open tray with a lip.
Access to water from a bowl but also enjoys a treat of kitten milk.
She has been Microchipped, desexed, wormed and flea treated. Next vaccination due in May 2023.
Indoors Only Home Required
Shadow is currently at the PETstock adoption enclosure at the Marsden Park store and can be seen during store hours. PETstock staff can assist with the adoption process and placing an expression of interest to adopt.
