Sprocket

Sprocket

Domestic Short Hair - male

Hi, I'm Sprocket. I'm sweet and cuddly and soft and cute as anything with fantastic tabby markings. I love to cuddle up with my brother and sisters but the best of all is Foster Mummy's lap! I love to play tickle tummy with her and then curl up, purring, and fall asleep.

I enjoy playing with my bro and sisters but sometimes they get really full on and I get a little hesitant to join in. My big sister is so cool she can even take on a dog but I think I'd be terrified. I love chasing the bell ball and playing with the furry blue 'snake' by myself. I'm getting really good at playing hide and seek (cos I'm super smart) and my running and pouncing are the cutest in the family, at least that's what I think.

I'm living in the Blue Mountains with my brother and sisters but really would like to have a 'furever' home. A loving family who are home lots to play and tickle my tummy would be fantastic. I think I could get on really well with another cat but no dogs please, they are just too bouncy for me. I am an indoor only kitty.

Sprocket has been microchipped and vaccinated. Desexing is included in the adoption fee.

If you are interested in learning more about this special boy, or wish to visit him at his foster home in Winmalee, please email his foster carer.

Maggie

Maggie

DSH - female

Maggie came into DCH care a couple of weeks before Christmas with her siblings, Peaches, Crispen, Dotty and Franny, when they were only 12 days old.

Maggie is a beautiful peach coloured calico, who wakes her foster mum up with nose and chin kisses, sometimes a little early for her foster mums liking :)

Maggie has been raised with other kittens, cats, dogs and bunnies and is quite comfortable living among them all.

Maggie has been desexed, microchipped and is up to date with her vaccinations and parasite protection. Maggie is ready for her forever home and is available to meet at her foster home in Bligh Park.

As we currently receive lots of enquiries for each kitten, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered. If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Crispen

Crispen is slowly learning not to wake his foster mum up at 4am, and can now sleep in until a more reasonable time of 6am before demanding breakfast.

Crispen has been raised with other kittens, cats, dogs and bunnies and is quite comfortable living among them all.

Crispen will be ready for his forever home around the 22nd January, once hehas been desexed, and he will be microchipped and up to date with his vaccinations and parasite protection before being rehomed.

Banjo

Banjo

Fox terrier - male

Update: 20/12. Adoption pending.

I have come in from the pound around 3 weeks ago. I am extremely timid and scared and am only just getting used to my new surroundings.

I am going to need a very special owner to love and care for me, someone who will spend the time continuing the work my foster carer is doing to help me face my fears. Noises really scare me and as of now I only feel safe hiding near a corner. Unfortunately I am unable to tell anyone why I am so scared like this. They are assuming I may have come from a not so friendly home and environment towards me.

I really love to interact with the resident doggy and I get on well with the 2 resident cats so I would love a home with another friendly dog. He has helped me gain some confidence.

I am currently taking anxiety meds to Help me overcome my fears. I
Have started to enjoy running around the backyard supervised.

I am unable to tell anyone my age so the vets have estimated I am anywhere from age 8 upwards. I have a mild heart murmur which doesn’t affect me and I don’t require meds for at this point in time. I have had tests done and my other organs are all healthy.

I will need a desex and my teeth cleaned prior to Being rehomed. I am going to stay with my foster carer until January so she can continue helping me face my fears however will be looking for a home after this to continue it.

Please contact my foster carer Jeanette with expressions of interest and provide some details around the type of home you can offer me.
Email contact only please as I am working and cannot answer the mobile.

Tinkerbelle

Tinkerbelle

Domestic Short Hair - female

Tinkerbelle was surrendered by her owners as they have moved into a small apartment that would not allow pets.

Tinkerbelle is 8 years old and unfortunately we don't know much about her previous history.

She was surrendered at a vet clinic and has spent 2 weeks there and is now in care with us at DCH.

She has mild arthritis and is overweight but her blood work is all within normal limits. Her teeth are in good condition.

She is currently on a diet of Royal Canin Satiety kibble. - she has the typical cute low slung tummy, but the vet has advised she needs only to lose around 1/2 kg.

She shows affection and will rub around your feet and seek out attention but can also be a little grumpy at the same time. She is best left alone by her new owner for a while until she ventures out herself; it took a few weeks for her to settle into her quiet foster environment. She does need time to learn to trust new people.

She is a lovely girl and deserves a beautiful new stable home. We think she will do best as an only cat in the home. She does need some space from time and time and affection is best when its on her terms.

If you think you can offer Tinkerbelle a new home then please contact us.

Ziggy

Ziggy

Domestic Medium Hair - female

Ziggy was surrendered to Hawkesbury Animal Shelter with her brother, Zeppelin, before both came into DCH foster care. These kittens have been bottle-fed and are very sociable with people.

Ziggy is a confident, affectionate and very playful kitten who has lots of energy and curiosity! This tiny kitty usually comes running when I click my fingers, and she will also follow me around the house to keep me company. She loves playing in cat tunnels and chasing laser lights and flies!

Ziggy is also very happy to sit and be a lap cat.

The $225 adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. These kittens are also litter-trained and socialised with other kittens.

Ziggy is now on hold pending Adoption.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Addie (now Nala)

Addie (now Nala)

Domestic Short Hair - female

Addie and her siblings, Angus, Annie and Asha were found living under a shed in St Helens Park and had not had human contact when they came into DCH foster care. They still run and hide when startled or meeting new people, so they will need an adopter who will be patient.

Addie is being desexed on the 8th January, so she will be ready to go to her new home from the 15th January 2021. Addie must be kept as an Indoor Only cat in her new home (this means that she does not go outside).

The only tabby in the litter with three white siblings, Addie was also the most scared but after a few weeks of tlc and getting to know other foster kittens, she has become playful and more confident. This beautiful girl is fine when picked up and she snuggles closer and closer each time, when she’s tired. I have no doubt she will become a little snuggle pot once she trusts her new owner.

The $225 adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. These kittens are also litter-trained and socialised with other foster kittens.

Addie is now on hold pending Adoption.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Addie (now Nala) was adopted on 28 January 2021 after 2 months in foster care

Cricket

Cricket

Domestic Short Hair - female

Hi, my name is Cricket. I'm delicate and sweet, but don't let the good looks fool - you I'm smart too and have a mind of my own. I have beautiful white fur with lovely decorative stripes and cute brown bits, especially my ears which wiggle when I'm eating.

I'm living in the Blue Mountains with my sister and brothers but I do need my own forever home.

I love chasing and rumbling with my brothers and sister and the home we are staying in has heaps of places to play hide and seek and I just love pouncing on my siblings. I'm getting really good at climbing and chasing balls, string, toes, anything that moves really. When I get tired I love to snuggle into bed or even better snuggle up into a warm lap with lots of loving pats and I have a purr that you can feel all through you.

I'd love you to visit me and I reckon I could get on with a loving family with children and other cats or a loving single or couple - anyone really who's home lots to give me the royal treatment that I deserve. I'm not like my sister or little brother as I don't feel brave very much so I probably would be scared of a dog, but maybe I could learn they are cute and fun too. I am an indoor only kitty.

Cricket has been microchipped and vaccinated. Desexing is included in the adoption fee.

If you are interested in learning more about this little girl, or wish to visit her at his foster home in Winmalee, please email her foster carer.
