Cody

Cody

hi my name is cody.

i came into care at 8 weeks old. After three months in care i had my first enquiry, but after three days they decided i wasnt for them so my foster family went on the long drive to come and get me and take me back home.

After 5 months time, out of the blue my foster family had several phone calls enquiring about me. Suddenly EVERYONE wanted me but I decided i wasnt going anywhere, and noone but my foster family could have me. Now i have my own family, my own brothers, and my own jacket.

without the help of DCH and volunteers, i wouldnt have been given the opportunity and potontial to grow into a beautiful domesticated family pet that i am today.

some ouf us are lucky to be provided via animal welfare organisations with quality care and love, please support any animal welfare organisation, to help more animals like me find our forever family.

Cody was adopted on 17/7/09 after 6 months in foster care by her dedicated foster carers.

Scar

Scar

dear dch animal adoptions, i adopted a male kitten from you back in march this year and wanted to let you know how well he is doing. he is still extreamly shy to new people but loves me unconditionally, he is my best friend. he goes a little spastic everyday but its all apart of being a kitten. his name was scar but i renamed him lancelott. he is so cheaky but always follows me around for cuddles and sleeps with me at night. it only took him about 2 hrs to warm up to me after we took him home it was a big change from him trying to run away with me at kiralees house lol.i just wanted to thank you so much for him i couldnt see life with out him now.

kind regards

Jasmine

ps i attached a couple of pics one is lancelott sleeping with our other cat guss who he picks on so much lol

Scar was adopted on 10/04/09 after 2 months in foster care.

Wundaboy

Wundaboy

Hi Megan, Wundaboy is settling in nicely, has a buddy now, see photo, almost inseperable.

Eye has cleared up well, the vet was surprised to find him a boy. Getting bigger and braver.

Marisa

Wundaboy was adopted on 20/6/09 after 2 months in foster care.

He amazed us all by being a male as in general tortoiseshell cats are female.

Sarah

Sarah

Thought you might like to see some photos of our adopted baby -Lilly - who we got from your organisation 3 years ago now. She was known as Sarah, a cross Border collie? xGerman Shepard when we picked her up from a lovely man, David Doig in Sydney.

She leads a very happy life in Gerringong on the south coast. She has a buddy, Leo, who is a very cute but independent-minded beagle

.they are the same age - we got Leo 3 weeks before Lilli. Lilli is still quite a timid girl but she has a beautiful, gentle nature and LOVES our cat Bella (who she would love to chase and then eat to be honest). Each evening she will sit for hours (literally) at the bottom of the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms hoping that the cat will appear so she can be rewarded for her patience...it rarely happens...Bella the cat is too smart!

Lilli, the super energetic one, and Leo, the reluctant beagle, get walked every day, morning and evening, at the off-lease area on Gerringong headland and then down on to the beach.

Thank you for all your great work in rescuing dogs similar to our Lilli!!

Regards Sally

Sarah was adopted on 24/4/06 after 2 months in foster care.

Buddy

Hi Amanda, I thought I would let you know how buddy (now known as 'Olly') is going. He is beginning to settle down with us and we are just thrilled with him. He is certainly a handful but so endearing with it! He is responding well to his new name and is starting to sit when told (mainly if food is being offered!). I Have booked him into doggie training classes starting in a couple of weeks and they have sent me info on how to teach him not to jump up. He is wonderful with the children and Hannah already calls him 'my lovely puppy'.

Thanks for helping us to find such a lovely dog. Regards, Amber

Buddy was adopted on 16/6/09 after 2 weeks in foster care.

Dan

Dan

Hi Karen, Well I have had Dan (I have now changed his name to Leroy) for weeks now. He is going well and is very well behaved (for a puppy). He has adapted to time on his own during the day well, but of course very excited to see us when we get home.

He had his second vac shot and he was very brave. I will enrol him in puppy school to hopefully start next week.

Anyway, we just wanted to say how grateful we are for being able to adopt him from you. He is so well adjusted with a lovely temperament, he was no problem to toilet train, thank you again. I have attached some pictures over the last few weeks so you can see how much he has grown (he is almost 10kg now!!)

Cheers, Veronica

Dan was adopted on 17/5/09 after 2 weeks in foster care.

Ziggy

Hi Ann, I'm the owner of Ziggy. Now Toby.

I just wanted to let you know that he's the happiest cat. He had his recent vet check and although my family think he's a fat spoilt cat the vet said he's just big and happy. He had his annual booster and came home to rest. He's been on science diet since coming here and has a cat tower which is 6ft tall where he views the world at the best angle. He's an inside only cat who has run of the house except at night when he sleeps in the laundry in his bed even with the door open. He's bigger than my jack russell terrier and loves to play. Although he knows he's smarter than him.

I just wanted to let you know that he's doing really well and loved heaps.

He especially likes my mother's day gift. A Sunbeam heated blanket which he cuddles in next to me.

Thank you so much for keeping him safe.

Angela and Family.

Ziggy was adopted on 3/4/08 after 1 month in foster care.

Roo

Roo

Dear Stef, Just a little update on Roo. We have renamed her Susi, and the whole family has fallen in love with her. These photos were taken just three days after she arrived here at her new home - you obviously did a wonderful job with her as she was so calm and settled from the start. She is absolutely gorgeous, great with the kids and loves lots of cuddles and playing with the various toys she finds around the place...!

Hope you are well, Kind regards, Marianne

Roo was adopted on 5/4/09 after 2 months in foster care.
