Ginger

Ginger

Australian Cattle Dog - female

Ginger is a beautiful, sweet, brave and smart puppy. She loves being by your side, walking beside you and watching you work. Ginger loves people and loves being cuddled - she does not wriggle away! She learned her name on the first day we fostered her, at just 7 weeks! Ginger lives happily with 3 bigger dogs, and enjoys playing and wrestling with them, then loves to cuddle in and catch up on her sleep.

Ginger was adopted on 20 August 2006 after 1 month in foster care

Kiwi

Kiwi

DMH - female

Friendly, placid young cat. Kiwi is used to other cats and children. She is a cuddly girl who will make a great addition to any family.

Update 28/7/06: Poor Kiwi has just been uprooted from the home she has known since she was born and she is finding the transition difficult. She is a very soft natured girl and is quite shy in her new carers home. She is slowly coming around but she is obviously unsure of where she is and why she has moved. So, the quicker Kiwi can go to a permanent home, with a caring family willing to give her lots of love and attention, the sooner she will settle down and be her old self again.

Kiwi was adopted on 20 August 2006 after 3 months in foster care

Billy

Billy

Jeb

Jeb

Staffy - male

Jeb means 'faithful friend' and there is no doubt that this boy would be the best friend on earth for the right owner. He is a very loving boy with basic obedience training, he is incredibly placid, adores people of any shape and size, very friendly with other dogs and not boisterous at all. He is a quiet boy, though he is starting to play more with the other 2 dogs he lives with. Jeb is great with children of all ages, although he doesn't like cats very much. He loves his morning walks on the beach but is just as happy snuggling in front of the TV

or anywhere in fact he is not fussy as long as he has a warm body to lie on and a hand stroking him he is in heaven!

Jeb was adopted on 18 August 2006 after 4 months in foster care

Cindy

Cindy

Staffy x - female

What a sweetheart! Cindy is VERY friendly with people of all ages and other dogs. She comes,, sits and leads nicely and waits to be invited indoors. While she has the energetic disposition of a Staffy, she is not manic.. for example she is quite calm travelling in the car. She would suit a household with lots of action or an active owner. Cindy is good with cats.

Cindy was adopted on 18 August 2006 after 1.2 years in foster care

Stripey

Stripey

DSH - female

Special Needs Cat

If you are looking for a cat that adores people and is extremely affectionate then Stripey could be the one for you. She is the type of cat that will make friends instantly with all she meets, her favourite place is curled up under your chin getting cuddles. She is BRILLANT with small children and will happily be carted around for hours being held like a baby and played with. Stripey is great with other cats and makes friends quickly with new cats. She is THE most loving, friendly girl and is happy being inside only or inside/outside.

However, Stripey is a special needs cat due to a bout of cat flu when she was much younger. While not contagious at all, she is now a permanent sufferer. This can mean that at times of stress her symptoms can re-appear but the real problem is that she makes a snuffley noise when she breathes. This does not affect her in anyway in terms of her general health but does mean that care needs to be taken if ever she requires an anesthetic. Unfortunately medications have failed to clear the congestion and it looks like something she will have for the rest of her life. So she is looking for someone who can look (or listen) past the breathing noises she makes and that someone will be rewarded with the most lovely, adoring little girl!

Stripey was adopted on 17 August 2006 after 6 months in foster care

Rocky

Rocky

Boxer - male

Rocky is a very sweet and friendly boy. He is great with kids and people and gets along fine with female dogs. Not sure about male dogs. He is great in the car and at bath time. Rocky is a very loving boy and would be prefect as a family dog. He requires a home with an adequate sized yard and secure fencing. As he has moved house 3 times in the last 3 weeks he will need a new owner who has the patience and time to give him to settle into his new home and give him the attention he deserves.

Rocky was adopted on 14 August 2006 after 3 weeks in foster care
